| PRE CONSTRUCTION / DESIGN ASSIST |
W.D Manor’s approach to Pre-Construction and Design Assist services is proactive and comprehensive. A project team is assembled based on the expertise and experience required for the magnitude of the project. The team consists of a lead Project Manager, Project Superintendent and assisting Project Managers or Project Engineers, as required. This team has in-house support, estimating, CAD/BIM, and purchasing services available to assist at any point during pre-construction. At WDM the executive Leadership also play an active role in major project pre-construction activities
The WDM team organizes meetings to fully understand the intent of the design, provide value added alternatives with the goal of containing or lowering the cost of the project while striving for no change orders. We expect to play a major role in analyzing the requirements of the project, as well as developing budgets and schedules with understandable documentation. We review and comment on iterations of plans and documents as they develop from the SD through CD phase, and make suggestions to eliminate unnecessary expense. The team offers knowledge in our specialty areas of the construction industry and suggests alternative methods, materials and design if warranted.
Our ultimate goal is to help achieve a successful project within the budget, exceeding the requirements of the owner, while striving for no change orders. |
