We at W.D. Manor continue to find new ways to improve our construction methods and to increase overall productivity. When we moved to our current location in 1994, three main objectives were to have the ability to pre-fabricate in order to cut down the cost of installation, store material and equipment, and deliver the load in a scientific manner.
Our 16,000 square foot warehouse facility in central Phoenix supports a pipe fabrication area and sheet metal fabrication shop featuring a fully automated duct line. We recognize the immense savings pre-fabrication can have on the total installation cost. At the fabrication shop we use an assembly line system of “Preparation then Fabrication” to work at the highest rate of productivity.
Most projects do not have additional space for storage. The on-site storage of material and large equipment can become a major concern. W.D. Manor has a fully bondable warehouse and covered storage yard on-site at headquarters. Once fabrication has finished, we have the ability to store the material and deliver when needed. Most large equipment comes with long lead times. These lead times make it hard to ship from the manufacturer to the project site and storage is always an added cost. Our facility allows us to store the equipment and more importantly inspect the equipment before it makes it to the jobsite.
With fuel prices continually rising, we realize how vital it is that we pay attention to our delivery methods. Each project will have its own logistical schedule that best fits the projects requirements. We schedule all of our deliveries with the intention that all parties involved are prepared to receive, handle, transport or store material and equipment. Our delivery methods continue to maximize our efforts and overall efficiency.
