W.D. Manor Mechanical Contractors, Inc. continuing efforts to find new ways to improve our construction methods and to increase overall productivity and we recognize the immense savings pre-fabrication can have on the total cost of any project. When we moved to our current location in 1994, our main objectives were to have the ability to receive and store material and equipment, pre-fabricate components of mechanical systems, and deliver loads with a systematic method. The W.D Manor facility is divided into three main areas: the administrative office, the fabrication warehouse, and the outdoor fabrication and storage. We believe that having everything at one location enhances communications between all divisions of our company. The 16,000 sq ft fabrication warehouse offers a total Piping and Sheetmetal Fabrication shop capable of handling most any mechanical or industrial needs. Our covered fabrication and storage yard allows for bulk inventory and provides the ease of deliveries, loading and transportation. Our fabrication facility and skilled tradesmen give us the ability to pre-fabricate a vast array of mechanical and industrial needs.

Procedures
We believe that a controlled environment is a productive environment. We implement quality control procedures and checklist to ensure the fabrication process is producing a cost-effective, quality product. All fabrication procedures are reviewed by the shop supervisor with the intent to eliminate any delay or unnecessary work in the fabrication process. The implementation of 3-D AutoCad allows coordination, detailing, production of bill of materials, and space management to be handled with precision drawings with both a material count, weight and man hours. We continue to improve our methods and introduce new technologies that we feel advances our fabrication abilities.
- ASME Certified Weld procedures for most applications
- Latest Manuals ASME B31.1 & B31.3
- Designated Areas for dissimilar piping compositions

Inspection
W.D. Manor has on staff an American Welding Society - Certified Welding Inspector - QC1 (AWS / CWI). The Certified Welding Inspector certification is acknowledged across most all welding platforms around the world. We rely on the AWS/CWI to make certain procedures and protocol are being utilized and our finished product exhibits quality craftsmanship we will stand behind.
The AWS/CWI – QC1 certification allows the inspector to perform certain nondestructive examinations. It also certifies the inspector to qualify and create weld procedures. The QC1 certification allows the inspector to perform visual inspections on projects and accept or reject welds and or weldors based on procedures and qualifications.
Delivery
With fuel prices continually rising, we realize how vital it is that we pay attention to our delivery methods. Each project will have its own logistical schedule that best fits the projects requirements. We schedule all of our deliveries with the intention that all parties involved are prepared to receive, handle, transport or store material and equipment. Our delivery methods continue to maximize our efforts and overall efficiency.
