WDMDB - W.D. Manor Dialysis Box (Patent Pending)

The Dialysis process and procedure is performed by medical care providers.  In most all cases the medical care provider utilizes a specifically manufactured machine that for the plumbing connection typically requires potable water, cold, untreated city tap water requiring approximately 1.6 GPM at 30 PSI at the unit and a drain for the waste water adequate to receive no less than 1.6 GPM. Typically, a dialysis service box/cabinet would require one service box with a hose bib and drain connection, plus either an additional box for the backflow preventer and trap primer or a separate remote location for the backflow preventer with a dedicated supply line to each dialysis box.  The advantage of utilizing a WDMDB is that we have consolidated all required componentry into one user friendly, esthetically appealing and completely functional cabinet

The WDMDB Dialysis Box is built and fabricated as follows:

  • The Dialysis Box is built with combination of bent and welded 18 gauge stainless steel with a separate pre-manufactured stainless steel access door.  Actuators can be custom ordered.
  • The Dialysis Boxes is manufactured with dual purpose, rough framing mounting tabs for finsish paneling or millwork installations..
  • The Dialysis Box incorporates and includes a testable reduced pressure backflow preventer designed for extreme hazard conditions.  The BFP is a UPC code requirement for most all cities and municipalities to protect the potable water source from the pre-manufactured dialysis machines.
  • The Dialysis Box also includes a trap primer to insure periodic priming of the p-trap connected to the fixture drain and the sanitary sewer, also typically a UPC code requirement.
  • The point of connection from the Dialysis Box to the Dialysis Machine is via a male hose thread.
  • The Dialysis Box includes a retractable SS drip tray so that when the door is closed the drip tray fits inside the box, and when opened it folds down to prevent spillage on the wall or cabinet.

Utilizing an all inclusive dialysis box avoids costly dedicated cold water distribution piping, saves wall space for remote backflow preventers, trap primers and the cost and space requirements for additional access doors.
